A tribute to everything I hate

WARNING: PURISTS TROLLING PRONE AREA

In the Great Indian context; amid the Great Indian Culture.

How many of us get to our locked colony gate and honk furiously for the security supervisor?
How many of us wear that rude look on our face if the gate is locked and the supervisor isn’t promptly at the scene?
Chances are that if you do that, then you are fairly well off – RICH! Or at least have relatively more than others in your own residential colony.

Interestingly, the more money you have, the more rude you will look at the gate. That’s my observation.
There seems to be a clear correlation between your stinking attitude, rude face, demeanour and the amount of money you make.
I wonder what it is about money that can make us stink so bad?

Dirty loves Dirt now and always

Flies Flies Lies Lies

Why care? Image credit : antphotos from Flickr

Before you pronounce a death sentence for my blog( after reading the title ), i beseech thee, that thou shall lend me a patient ear.

Shagun and i love the Indian culture. So much so that we talk about it everyday. Sometimes our day starts with and very often ends with it. Plenty in the middle too.

This my friend is for you. The creative one out there.

Is your job your passion or is it something else ?We all grow up with hobbies. You grow up with dreams wanting to be involved in something you love and cherish a lot. You dream that someday your passion we also be your job. But, sadly this happens for a very few. The very very few.

Before we can take stock of the situation, we find ourselves married well and truly to a job, that which is just a job.
This job is a regular 10-5 one, that you go through Monday to Friday ( and painfully sometimes on Saturday ) and wait upon the month end to bring in the money. And then all over again starting with the dreaded and hated Monday. …read the rest of this entry »

The 30 day challenge

Succeeding in a 30 day challengeI think I always knew “that you need to know where you want to go , to actually get there”.
But somehow rather, never really had my finger on the pulse on that one.I’d go at it and then suffer a burn-out real quick.

Moving away from being generic, here’s what I am alluding to.

I often get into a fitness/discipline drive without specifying a timeline.
It seems like you set a goal for yourself that you would want to work at for a lifetime. At least that’s what it becomes technically when you don’t specify a timeline. A burn out thereafter is pretty inevitable.
So this time around I am doing it differently. And here’s how that is.
Instead of gaping into the never-ending abyss of a black hole, I have set myself a 30 day challenge.
